|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|The day before Christmas - South African Beaches - very well known for their wide beaches with clean sand, surfing waves, and sunny skies. This is evidence of that. My niece had been having a wonderful day as any child would have on the beaches, and I just couldn't resist this shot - a typical "beach bum", full of sand!|
Posting this today, I cannot help but wonder at the frailty of mankind against the savage force of nature - the tsunamis that have recently wrecked the eastern coasts are evidence of that. It could just as easily have been us on the beach that day...
At any rate, hope you enjoy. I have only sharpened the image and increased saturation a touch.

My girls so often have this look at the beach too. You captured it nicely, great sharpness, and colors. This photo made me smile. Thanks!

Good to see you back, Judy, with a great photo and a great pun. Talk about focusing on the subject and using depth of field to the max. And are you saying that the tsunami reached the beaches of South Africa? If that was the case it must have been hours later. Weren't people warned? I am still in shock over a world that can land a camera on one of Saturn's moons and not warn people of an express train bearing down on them at "only" 100 miles per hour.
