This shot was taken at Jacob's Field in Cleveland, Ohio, during the Cleveland Indians home opener. The high temperature that day was only 30°F and by the time I took this shot, it was probably several degrees cooler. There was also a biting wind. We felt badly for the vendors and the baseball players, who didn't have the luxury of wearing lots of layers to stay warm!

The game was repeatedly delayed due to snow. At times, the snowfall was so heavy it was a complete white-out and we could not see the skyscrapers just beyond the field.

The playing field behind the vendor is green only because a large tarp had been placed over the area. Grounds crews were busy all day clearing snow from the outfield. It was quite a spectacle to see them use leaf-blowers to push snow into piles for shoveling.

I'll post more pictures from the game at my Flickr account.

Good close up view of the vendor. I like the way you can still see the pitch in the background. Well done.

GO TRIBE! I'm a Cleveland native and it looks like people are bundled up for a Browns game!

Nice composition focusing on the vendor with the context (the field and players) visible in the background, perfectly blurred. Nice capture of the rich colors, too. Well done!

I looked over your gallery, it looks like you have some good shots of the Columbus area too. I'm an OSU grad so will have to check them out later!

With the little player tiny, tiny downstair, i like he give well the context! The crop is really good and colors are nice to complete it!

Hi again,
A very good stadium post, I like the good sharpness, composition with the field and players at BG and the intense colors, but the beer seller...hmmm I think it's difficult to see a similar job in Argentina
1-In stadium are prohibited to drink alcohol
2-A girl vendor?? Hard work for she, surely
3- i can imagine the battles among fans of the two foot-ball (soccer for you in USA)teams, baseball is almost inexistent here.
