[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This started with a film photo taken near Inverness in 1990. I always liked the tree in that picture, but wanted to do something totally different with it, more moody.

Technical details:
- scanned from a negative and cropped
- converted to B&W using Adjustment Layers
- adjusted levels
- applied Median filter with radius of 5 pixels
- resized the image
- re-applied the Median filter with radius of 5 pixels again.
- added the frame

Hope you like it!

PS: I posted the original pic in the workshop

This is very interesting, looks like a painting! Nicely done! I would really like to see the original, that tree is very beautiful and I can imagine how nice it is in reality. I would say it was taking on a cloudy day or late in the afternoon, the sun would be on the left side. Very interessting, this photo just wants to make me think so much, There seems to be a story here and I want to know what it is :-) TFS Pierre, very good shot! Good frame too!

Bravo
Gaby

Nice atmospheric shot Pierre, reminds me of the woods where Snow White got lost. Like your original too, amazing what you could do with those old film cameras :-). Nice composition on this shot and the use of black and white was a good idea, lets the eye concentrate on the shapes rather than the colours. Well done.

Peter

Very eary looking tree.......excellent as far as composition is concerned, well done!

J'aime bien!

Ceci n'est pas un arbre ... bravo!

I really like the composition of this one. I think it's because of the diaginal lines. Plus I love trees. Very nice!

Hi Pierre, yes I like it very much. And the mood that you were looking here is achieved.

Great tones of bw. Very well done.

Take care, Yan
