[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I caught this hyena when he had just been alarmed by a shouting kid. I totally loved his look of surprise.

Tech talk

Shot through tennis wire, so a shallow DoF was crucial.

Downsized for TL as per usual.

Nice one Frank, great expression on the hyena's face, neat trick with the focus remember it from my olden days in photography.

Hi Frank,
LOL, great title of this pose of the hyena (we both are in the dogs today). I'm not sure about the lighting (a bit bright) and upperpart of the image (a bit dull). Nevertheless a funny and nice posting Frank.

:) Later...

ciao Frank how are u?..
nice expression for this hyena, not ridens..
a good zoo stolen image.. weel done

Hey Frank!

I love the expressiopn which you caught! Something like, "what the...??" Good DOF as you can't see any of the fence wires!
Hopefully, if it's not too hot this week, I may go to the zoo and try find a Cockatoo! (^_-)

Well done

Hi Frank,

Excellent capture, very good DOF, clarity and perfectly balanced lighting. Your timing was just right and the pose and composition excellent.

The expression is great. Nicely captured.

Hallo Frank,
