[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This jeep type vehicle (Land Rover, Series IIa) seems to have run out of gas. As there are no gas stations on this island, that might be enough to disable a gasoline powered vehicle here. Boats do bring gas out to the island in cans for a fee, so there was probably something more serious effecting this jeep. This island is small enough to be able to walk from one end to the other in about 15 minutes, so having a car here is really kind of pointless, so if this required an expensive or hard to get part to repair it, that is all it would take to cause it to become a sign prop instead of transportation.

Hi David,

Ohw, that hurts... First of all, it's not a JEEP!!! I have to say this as a Land Rover fan! It is a Land Rover, Series IIa. The Series IIa and III have the lights more to the outside, where the series I and II have them in the grille. The visible difference with IIa and III is in the hinges of the doors. ;-)

A Rasta-Safari, that is a nice idea.... I see part of the exhaust pipe sticking up the left side in the back. So I assume it's not driving anymore. The lack of wheels might have given it away as well. Though still a fine restauration object ;-).
Not a technically challenging shot, but good fun for sure. Thanks for sharing!

Greetings, Dennis
