Vienna International Centre (VIC)
Along with New York, Geneva and Nairobi, Vienna is one of the four Headquarters duty stations of the United Nations. More than 4,000 employees from over 100 countries work for the VIC-based organizations. About a third of them are Austrians. Operations costs are borne by the Organizations themselves. The VIC also contributes about 360 million euros annually into the Austrian economy.

Il VIC è stato progettato dall'architetto austriaco Johann Staber e costruito tra il 1973 e il 1979 poco a nord del Danubio.
Sei torri per uffici a forma di Y circondano un edificio circolare per conferenze, per un'area totale di 230.000 metri quadrati.
La torre più alta (120 m) consta di 28 piani.
Il VIC sorge su un'area extraterritoriale, ovvero non è soggetta alla giurisdizione austriaca.

complimenti al giardiniere e a te per questa bella inquadratura che ne mette in evidenza la bella geometria delle aiuole e dei vialetti. Anche i colori sono stupendi.

La composizione geometrica è impeccabile, ricca di linee e forme e con gradevoli contrasti di colore. Io sinceramente non amo questo tipo di giardino costruito con la bolla, mi sembra contro natura!
