Watch your step ! As a pedestrian this is always good advise. Not only to watch out for loose pavement to trip over, unexpected puddles, or other nasty objects to tred into, but one might also be surprised by a sudden reflection.
The inverted building is the Antwerp police-tower, by some regarded as a famous "artwork" by the architect Braem, some find it plain ugly and an unwelcome addition to the Antwerp "skyline". As a close neighbour, I know for fact that the building acts as a windcatcher (creating a draft even when the whole city seems wind-free) and city-sound amplifier (city-rumble which would otherwise be scattered through trees, buildings and streets is caught and reflected)
Cobblestones were a durable paving for centuries. For todays traffic it is too slippery in wet conditions, hard on a car's suspension and noisy for the neighbours. Therefor it is still used but in streets where traffic is limited or prohibited (pedestrians only) Still, some streets can be found, as is the case here.
The line-up of the cobblestone-pattern with the building reflected appealed to me, this is the result.
PP : Sharpened, adjusted contrast and hue.

Hi Walter...I like the composition...Especially little stones on the ground...Excellent work...

Can

Guzel dusunce, iyi teknik. Bravo

Hi, Walter--
Excellent framing. The pavement stones line up beautifully with the angles on the building. And the greens and reds of the bricks make a nice counterpoint to the blue of the sky. Well done.

Beautiful, Walter... excellent compo, seeing a reflection without seeing the actual building, and the cobble-stones on top... Nice work on the contrast, but I suspect you didn't alter all that much on the hues ? TFS.

Very interesting POV, excellent job!

Good catch. For a while I thought this was a composite of two pictures, but it appears to be only one. Great point of view and excellent light. Great job!

Walter, I thought it was a couple of layers then I realized you had really paid attention to the paddle of water and the reflection. Nice good eye and perspective. Brilliant.

Un seul mot ... merveilleux!
Antonio

very unusual photo, different and interesting.i like the contrast of the smooth texture of the water puddle with the roughness of the pavement....another creative shot, Walter.

Very well done Walter !
I like it
It would be very very nice if the building was in the same direction of the stones (pavés). But it's not always possible
You shoul also try a vertical rotation (up/down). Could be amazing
félicitations !

excellent match of colours and images. an exultation of the old, and a reduction of the high-tech into a mere reflection. well thought!!

Excellent! You managed to take an original shot from such a non-original theme.
