[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While waiting at the airport for our son's flight, we stopped at the lookout to shoot some aircraft landing.
Nothing new came through, so to kill time tried some bird shots, got a couple of thrush, when this little guy came in for a micro second on the wire.
Just caught his departure. I know it's not pin sharp, but I thought the attitude was worth showing.
The dark band on the neck and wing is the shadow from the top wire, not a new species of sparrow.

Hi Peter,
Nice shot my friend, as you say not pin sharp but a great capture of this little chap taking off, good DOF to blur the BG and make the bird stand out.
Well done
Regards Andy

Hi Peter,

Great capture of this action... good used of DOF as what you said the sharpness I think it is fine since it is an action shots... Well done..TFS

Belle photo prise au bon moment

Yep ... bird flight isn't an easy one to nail.
There are some blokes on TN who have got it down to an exact art ... pin sharp every time.
I don't know how ... I get real jealous of em.
Still, its always good to get an action shot of any sort.
I've posted much worse than this.
Interesting image.
Cheers,
Steve

Hahaha great timing! You could also look at it as if he's holding on to the wire while there's a hard wind blowing.

still it's a beautiful shot, Peter :)

tfs and regards, terry
