If you spend a little time to p.p. this image, it has potential to look good. The sky is a lot better then you think.
I did some play with it.
Just use levels to bring it out, you'll see what's in the shadows. :=)

Hi Jonathan,

Obviously opinion is divided as to weather you should have lightend this, I think it is great as it is. The absense of light is vital (I think) to the feel of this shot.

Hmmm...the trees along the horizon make me smile...they remind me of ants marching in line up an ant hill...or ants carrying trees...lol. I like the dark tones for a touch of mystery and mood. Great b&w for the theme:)

* The colored.
* and in a beautiful sunset.


Beautiful visual and capture, I like trees in the top of the world. A beautiful silhouettes.

Bonjour Jonathan,
Contrairement à d'autres, je n'aurais pas ajouté de luminosité, mais, par contre, j'aurais rendu tout l'avant-plan beaucoup plus noir - pour ne pas dire 100% noir, et ce de façon à ne voir que la silhouette de la colline avec les arbres sur le sommet se détachant du ciel...
Juste mon avis personnel, bien sûr, que tu n'es pas obligé de partager,

this could almost be one of mine from spain..
i like the tumbing hill ridge with the occasional trees..
the sky is always a problem unless its a good cloudy and sunny day
your note explains and should be respected
