Proof Of Spring...

These Cocoons abound the Red Rock Canyon National Park. You will find them on the prickly bushes that line the 13 mile loop of the Red Rock Canyon National Park. Im not sure of what these catterpilars are. Maybe someone can help me out. Someone told me that they will turn into moths and eventually abound the whole valley.

I took the shot with careful consideration to depth of field. I wanted to create the contrast between the larger and more minute masterpieces of nature. I wanted to create the contrasting speeds by way nature works. Creating mountains and creating what is familiat to most of us, the life cycle of butterflies or moths.
