This is my little rooster, the last descendant of this lovely couple

Until a couple of weeks ago it had a male sibling which was slaughtered by my geese. I realized last week that they've been killing all my chickens. I only realized that when I caught them poking at Mrs. Hen and not even my presence stopped them. I had to grab each one of them by the wings to get them off the poor hen.

Now, such as was their mischevious plan, they have the property all to themselves which they share with my sheep ,which they fear, and with Mrs. Duck which they worship! The two "chicken survivers" had to be placed in a chicken coop for protection.

PHOTOFILTRE: Not very different from the original had I not slightly Cropped-Blurred BG-Revived colors-Framed

Thank you for visiting and a nice weekend to all!

PS: The reason for the title was due to the fact that when I picked up the rooster for this photo, late in the afternoon when they can't see very well to run from intruders, at first it started to scream really loud and all of a sudden it became so silent and still that even when I put it down it lay there quietly waiting for me to leave!

LONG LIVE YOUR ROOSTER! The sole survivor!

What a clear shot! Great detail throughout the picture! I can see in his eyes he is thinking something! Colours are great, and whole presentation is perfect!

Sharp, sharp, sharp. :o) The detail you captured here is fabulous and at not an extremely high shutter speed a good catch, given your very interesting discussion of the normal behavior. (I had no idea that geese would/could kill roosters or chickens)
The framing and the OOB effect outside the border is very nicely done.
Presentation is key and you nailed it on this one.
nice job, thanks for sharing.
