[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The view of the the base camp down below at 3300m ASL and the Mesilau plateau at upper left around 1000m ASL from a point about 3800m ASL on the rockface of Panar Laban, just before the surrounding was enveloped with the mist.

In the photo, it is a section of Via Ferrata with a group of climbers making their way down the sheer rockface. Beside using the steel cable to help ascend the ferrata, there are generous amount of steel plates and closed pins anchored on the granite along the cable, for better foot and hand holds.

The buildings below mark Laban Rata, the base camp of Mount Kinabalu. From this section, it takes about 4 hours to reach the base camp.

Great photo - very interesting POV.... It's good that you got some of the distant plateau in just to give us some perspective...
David

Beautiful shot...

Good action photo with dramatic perspective. Also, it demonstrates the methodical technique of the climbers.

Hi Rabani,

This is an excellent POV. This is a lesson on perspective for me. I could see how high you are on the mountain by looking at the base camp below. Great shot!!

Assalamaualikum Rabani,
indeed it was such a strong will to voluntarily accept the challenge of doing it - rock climbing. Such an exciting challenge ,adds with the stint of photography. The idea of pushing your limits exist in every rock climber and it applies throughout our lives.
Words from you really make me feel so wonderful and come to self realisation and self actualisation. Very supportive indeed. I like the strings of words of self satisfaction and forming own identity.
Just like photography, outdoor activities help me a lot in forming my personality.
I have to crawl under my big bed and start to dust off my 250 Karimore backback that was left under for almost 10 years and ask Jusni to join the gang.
Wonderful picture, well timed and great composition. It worths a life time to have shot this splendid piece of capture.
May all the skills and knowledge that you acquired be shared among those you think they can and they will always can.
Your post to Ramdan during the climbing was very interesting.

Regards,
Foozi
