It was actually a tough decision to come up with an image for this week. I wanted to use one from my trip to the UK, but which one? The “clothing optional” shot of a father and son at the beach in Bournemouth? The manikin in Roman Legion costume from Bath? How about the fellow in medieval cloak in York?
In the end I came back to the fellow who had been the source of joy for my subjects in last week’s shot.
I hope you like him
Tech: taken in raw (at the tilt you see here), converted to jpg, cloned out some spots on the ground, resized without cropping, framed and signed
Thanks for looking and have a marvellous weekend

Silke, I just love this shot, mainly for the colors, but there is nothing nicer than a natural portrait of someone doing what they love best and you can see it on his face! Nice details, I know you worked hard on these pics the last few weeks and your effort shows! A perfect contribution to the clothing theme, IMHO!
Love this one!

Strong colours, great smile, super sharpness on the performer. A happy shot indeed and I think the tilt is very effective here, it works well.

Curious about the f14, though? I'd personally have preferred a more blurred background.

Hi Silke
Great portrait.Colourful and detailed composition. Thanks for this post.

Hi Silke,
Very good entry for the theme! Joyful photo not only with the street ambiance, coloured clothes and music, but also with this irrisistible smile starting from his mouth until his eyes. This man is happy and must give happiness around him! You captured that so well. Bravo! Annie

Hi Silke,
There is joy in his face, his clothes are certainly colorful, and I like the slight tilt. Have a good weekend. Greetings! Danilo

You came across some good photo opportunities in England Silke. Well done on this one. So bright and colourful - and I like your crooked angle. I MUST try that one day

I liked the last one of this chap Silke and this is equally as good. What caught my eye more than anything was the way the colours came out, not strong, not washed out but in between. Good crop, nice tilt and I love the Union Jack combined with the Bob Marley colours. TFS,

Hi Silke

A novel, if irreverent, use of the Union Jack. The slight tilt adds dynamism. Good colour & sharpness. Tfs!

hi silke, a nice vibrant image here, good expression captured, the colors are really excellent, nice post,

Hello Silke,

You may have pondered long about what to post but this is an excellent choice!
The whole shot is so attractively colourful and the eyes are drawn to your main subject because he looks to happy, not only from what he is doing, but because that's his character.
What a fabulous mix of ethnic, traditional and modern!

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Excellent portrait
such colour variation
he is enjoying his singing . a happy mood captured with nice sharpness and fine details.
nice shot for the theme.

his clothes are so yanky and cool.
his union jack hat is the center of attraction.
great capture.

Beautiful portrait of the FLAG.

Hi Silke
Good choice here. I'm the other would have been great, but the guys expression and his costume really fill the bill.

Hiya Silke

I love this shot, a close crop with half a guitar and the angle is off and it all makes for a perfect composition of this clown. Wonderful character captured here with good colour saturation too.

TFS and for joining in the theme

kind regards Helen
