Another lovable shot. Blurred area at the model - your son is interesting to me. And of course, happy birthday! :-)
Have a nice day!
what a lovely son you have;)
i wish him all the greetings,
happy birthday Cairiel;):)
Well ... is it a photo of your son really? Or is it a photo of his balloon?
Traditionally, a portrait should be clear on the subject's eyes; in this shot, the clearest object is the balloon, and that is where the viewer's attention feels the most comfortable.
In terms of light, composition, and background bokeh, as well as your chosen tilt, this is nice. In terms of being a photograph of your son, it's debatable whether it works or not.
From my point of view, I applaud the experimentation and unusual idea.

Looks like you are treading through a phase of life that some of us have already gone through. Depending on his line to the throne, 5 is still a tender age that needs moulding. For the photo, I would say the focus is out and perhaps the boy is moving around too quick for the composition and focus? You may have to re-shoot if it is a portrait that is worth a good quality. Or else the boy may complain :)
