Fun for All Ages at Murrays Bay Wharf

Here, at Murrays Bay in the East Coast Bays of the North Shore of Auckland, there is a very popular wharf used for recreational fishing mainly.

But come the Autumn to Spring weekends, school holidays and after-school hours, most of the fishermen don’t come here, because the wharf is very popular for jumping and diving off – when the tide is in. . . Much to the dismay of the fishermen – there are no fish around then!

The wharf is very popular at high tide - and all ages come and jump off it.

Today most of the jumpers were aged about 12-14 years old, and they were having fun.

BTW they are jumping higher than it looks. It must be at least 15 feet / 4 metres.

And the optimist yachts were also out training in the bay too. Murrays Bay has a very good sailing club.

My Canon 30D is still away getting fixed and I have been using my Canon 300D.

Unfortunately the camera kept showing ERR 99, meaning that the battery was not right. But I have recharged and used 2 batteries in it and the ERROR sign shows up all the time.

And my guarantee was only for 3 years, and the camera is 4 years old now!!

Big decision now as to whether to get it fixed, or. . .

Your camera sounds like my car; the battery keeps going flat! It might be worth typing your problem onto the Internet. There is so much useful information out there. It just might help.

Fine capture of the jumping boy although I have the impression the water is a bit oversharpened and/or saturated. Anyway the inclusion of the jetty and small boats gives it an attractive exposure. Fine posting my dear.

Good shot. I like the inclusion of the shore opposite.
The boats gave it more interest too.
Sorry to hear about you 30D canon.
Sure the contacts are clean enough ? After some time that can be the reason ot it.
