Great one Roger!! yeah, the light is fantastic, and the background ... looks like rough concrete maybe(?).. is perfect. Great facial profile .. the light is really great on his body and face .. really accentuates the shapes. Fantastic.

Definitely an excellent portrait. Great use of light and composition. I think you have successfully portrayed the man described in your note, there is toughness and intelligence and tenderness combined here - a complex combination. Really a beautiful shot.

p.s. To me, such a shame that 'natural' skin textures, hair, stubble, whatever else, are so readily accepted in portraits of men, and so vehemently opposed in portraits of women. Kudos to you for always keeping it real and being true to your passion as an artist.

I think this is one of the best portrait you shot so far. I remember another photo of yours portraying a naked belly with a tattoo, and that was also impressive. somehow you manage to capture tattooed skin in an elegant way - I don't know how to put this in a better way =)
I think the natural light here is key, it enhances the pose and the soft curves of his body. the play with light and shadow is really attractive here, the transition from one to the other is smooth and very pleasing to the eye.
