Ross Castle (Irish: Caisleán an Rois) is the ancestral home of the O'Donoghue clan though it is better known for its association with the Brownes of Killarney who owned it until recently. It is located on the edge of Lough Leane, in Killarney National Park, County Kerry, Ireland.

Ross Castle was built in the late 1400s by local ruling clan the O'Donoghues Mor (Ross), though ownership changed hands during the Desmond Rebellion of the 1580s to the Mac Carty Mor.

Good Morning, James!

What a great capture of Ross Castle with wonderful exposure in sunlight, bringing great mood into the capture! I like the sharpness and POV in the shot, as the tree (in FG) makes great wonders in the shot. Wonderful play of light and shadow! The dominated golden colors is very eye-catching and make it one of the lovely works.

best regards,

what a golden moment been captured. nice pov leading by those trees. wonderful job, James

Waw....the light and the colors of this capture is surreal.
Wonderful shot my friend1

Hi Jimmy,
Stunning view on this castle, the trees act as a fine natural frame, but I think the saturation is a bit overdone (or did you do it on purpose?). Decreasing the saturation with approximately 25% will improve this picture in my opinion. Anyway a view well captured and after an adjustment of the colours well exposed.

excellent POV, amazing lighting on this castle framed of two trees

Hello James,

This is a fine pov of the castle, illuminated with the gold of the evening sun. I like the natural framing and the hints of light splitting the shadows.
Perhaps a little oversaturated, although it is difficult to be sure as the evening sun can really alter the intensity of colours.

Have a good Sunday,
Bev :-)

dear James,
this light is superb and illusionary,
the castle looks shining like in one tale,
surrounding dark framing trees and ground are the gate to enter that great tale story.
thank you for your excellent shot,

Magnificent shot!
Very interesting architecture, fantastic composition.

Salam James

the golden light on castle is well captured here
nice use of natural frame in the left
and deep shadows below the shot

Best wishes, Alireza

Could be a good bookcover James, the sturation is on the borderline, beautyful light.

Hi James,
You had some really stunning light here to work with. It turned the castle into gold. I love the framing by the two trees and how you/ve used the gated bridge to draw the eyes.
