I like stephanie more than Steven. :-)
A good pose and good crop. Stephanie looks to the negative space. Somehow I feel the frame should be not square but (a little) portrait.

Nice indeed. Beautifully rich and sharp detail and textures, and the warmth of the tungsten lighting really creates some beautiful colours. I like her top! The sharp detail captured in the ruched fabric emphasises the unwrinkled texture of her skin!

Perhaps an overhead light to throw some illumination into her hair from behind, would be a future project? (Mine is a translucent Chinese takeaway container nailed to an overhead beam; I sit my speedlite in it, aimed downwards, adjusted to 1/16 full power, and voila!)

Hello Roger,
A classic pose. Stephanie looks beautiful with the lighting. If I were to nitpick, it would not be on the techniques but on props. Her peach dress is bright, textured, and sharp that the viewers like me are drawn to the bottom part of the frame instead of Stephanie's chiseled features. A very good work. Regards.

Its a great studio portrait, she got nice pose, elegant lighting and dark back with superb shadows on her body

Nice soft lighting effect, although as has been said already perhaps a hair light to separate her head from the shadows a little more. It would be interesting to see what the catchlights produced by your lights will look like!

Hi Roger,

Its always pleasent to see great work from you. Once again my friend you have done a wonderful job capturing the natural beauty of Stephanie. I really like the relaxed and calm expressions of Stephanie which indeed creates an overall peacefull tone.

I really am impressed to see how well u have balanced the lights which produce a very even exposure of the subject. I think the dimmer switches are a great thing to have to control light for ur desired effect and this has led me to brew some ideas of my own now.

to wrap up i think its a great shot.

This is an amazing POV and pose of the gorgeous Stephanie! Love the light setup and the effect and mood it evokes-truly awesome portrait here with detailed notes to explain your masterclass methodology! Love the square crop and the skin tone is beautifully rendered with perfect exposure control! I love it!

hi Roger

I choose this one rather than you latest bicycling photo [it is I think a better catch in shutter] because the pink color attacts me more than B&W [that is purely my personal weakness] and also recently I have just read that staring at this picture for 30 minutes can make me live 5 years longer, so I am doing it now, with my eyes on the picture while my hands are on auto-pilot mode on keyboard.

Actually not just that, I saw your earlier series and I like Stephanie, you know, I like :) wink

You apply channel mix here too? Nice work.
