3...2..1.....lift off

Ready for lift off to celebrate holidays 2009 and up to 2010.

Happy holidays my dear TL friends. Wish you all fine days during Christmas 2009 while memorizing Christmas 2008 for me. Thanks Kiwis for your great days last year. Will be back soon....

Auckland's Sky tower shot vertically, not much of PP work here, except for adjusting contrast and brightness and resizing.

What an awesome shot Hans!!!! Very awesome perspective and point of view. Great colors, details, lines and curves. Great details as well.

Thanks for sharing!

Hello Hans, an interesting POV,the concentric circles of the top of the tower make a good pattern against the beautiful blue sky with its perfect wispy clouds.
The reflected sky in the window on the l/h/s is a bonus.

Best wishes for the holiday season.
Regards Jean.

It looks a lot smaller from this angle.

I like your composition of this shot, especially the airbridge on the left, and the way it forms a perfect edge to the photograph.

Good control of levels - and a good sky that day!

Is it really a year since you were here!

Fantastic POV and lighting here of the big tower! Miss seeing this since moving to Asia but the capture is stunning as you have also captured an awesome cloud formation that makes one feel like this thing is heading up into space! Good work and TFS!

Hoi Hans,
Dit lijkt wel een beetje op de space needle in Seattle. Je POV is echt gaaf en geeft de foto een erg mooi diepte effect. je lucht is echt prachtig met een mooie donkere tint en perfecte doortekening in de wolken.

Hi Hans
Powerful perspective and a strong image, very well presented with a great composition with the photo very well supported in left and down side of the frame.
...Ground control to Major Hans... Ground control to Major Hans... (remember the oldie David Bowie hit of 70's?)
Have good trip to 2010.

WOW! This is a broad view of this tower! Seems dark on my screen, but I am at work, so I can't tell if it's me or the pic! I love that it's coming out of the corner of the frame! Good job Hansie!

What a dramatic viewpoint.
superb use of perspective and the clouds give the photo lots of impact.
An inspiring photo.

Hi Hans,

You have created an extra terrestrial space ship out of our humble Sky Tower. I've seen lots of images smilar, but none seem to be as dramatic, well done.

A Rew says....a year gone alreay?

Have a happy Xmas and New Year Hans.

Pete and Marilyn.

Hallo Hans.
Erg orgineel idee en mooi vast gelegd.

Wens ook jouw prettige dagen en een gezond 2010.
Groet Frans

Hi Hans,
A little too late for this one. I passed all my time with my family and grandson Samuel!
Your photo is great! We could believe that the new year is waiting on its launch pad.
The low POV give a strong image and a good managemnt of the light. Superb! Annie

Hi Hans,
Incredible shot : the choice of the POV is really good to obtain a "vertiginous" composition. I like the compo : perfectly parallel on the left, and a curve just in the corner on the right ! Lucky you are this was not a stupid blue sky this day ! A best of !
Best regards
