Bij het klikken op de (voor mijn anonieme) thumbnail vermoedde ik niet dat deze van jou was, Hans! Een dreigend kleurenpalet is niets iets wat ik dadelijk met jouw fotografie associeer. Maar ik hou wel van verrassingen, vooral als ze - zoals hier - de moeite waard zijn ;o).
Doorgaans ben ik geen fan van filters omdat ze de lucht ietwat onnatuurlijk maken, maar hier spelen vorm en functie keurig op elkaar in. Die zware lucht onderstreept passend de lugubere schoonheid van deze dode boom. De sfeer wordt er dus alleen maar sterker op.
Mooie dynamiek in je compositie ook, met dat wolkje dat de uitwaaierende vorm van de boom extra in de verf zet.
Knap werk!

I like this POV Hans. I don't know much about this hobby, but to me POV seems paramount. I like how the tree seems to reach for the opposite corner of your composition. The colors are grand. The many variations of blue makes this very interesting to me. I also like the bush on the right adding an additional another subject, but with less significance. I'm not competent enough Hans to technically critique a photo, but I can tell you what appeals to me in yours.

Beautiful colours - the sky is so deep blue! Unusual and striking crop to the square format, it works well for this subject.

What a deep blue sky, the little wisp of cloud to the right is nice.

Like the detail of the tree and a well chsoen POV.
