Hi Friends!
This again is from Sangam area during recent Magh Mela-confluence of river Ganges and Yamuna in Allahabad when more than a million devotees assemble to take a dip in the river and offer prayers, apply sandal, vermilion on the forehead.
I found this old devotee engrossed in his thoughts, oblivious of surroundings,in the company of millions yet alone.
After taking candid shot,I went to him, showed his picture and inquired about him.He just looked up to me and nodded, and went back to his thoughts.
Picture was uploaded after cropping and adding frame.
Hope you like it.

Well done.TFS

Hi spsips,

I like the note, you descrived in a clever way his serenity.

The shot is very good in terms of light.
But I donīt know if you sharpen the .jpg before uploading; itīs a must, doing it the image looks much sharper.

Congrats for this great portrait!

Hello SP, good shot of the old man. I too think it could be a little sharper, but you have captured his expression just right. He shows his contentment, but he does look very tired.
Well done

Hi SP,

This is a good portrait of the elderly gentleman, he does appear lost in his thoughts. As the others have mentioned, there is a bit of softness in the photograph. This may be due to camera shake. At 300mm, it is difficult to control without a tripod. For handheld the rule of thumb is 1/focal length. In this case the minimum would be 1/300 and that is usually not enough.

Still, this portrait speaks volumes. As your note describes, he is not concerned with the modern conveniences of the world today.

Ciao SP
