[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Everybody,

On this winterday I went to an abandonned trainrails. I wanted to make a photo with a story/ mood and needed a model. I asked my best friend and she did want to model but on one condition 'She didn't have to look pretty and as a model, because she doesn't like to be in a photograph.' I thought this was a good compromis :-)

I made a crop to get a different kind of composition, but I didn't realy know wich one is better. (See workshop)

I want to leave the story open for you. Let me know what you think and what comes up when seeing this photo.
Ofcourse tips to improve are very welcome.

Thanks for visiting!

Greetings Simone

I like it very much.
Lots of stories can be written about.
I've played a bit. See WS, hope you don't mind

Hello Simone,

Hoi Simone

Romantic mood, lovely and artistic composition.

Hi Simone,
Beautiful tone and sad mood created in this shot, excellent composition and depth to the shot, I think the composition could be improved if your model was not wearing the gloves so the bare hand was holding the rose but that is just my opinion. The overall shot is great. Best wishes

Hello Simone,

Great shot - this was the first one I clicked on from the opening gallery!

Lovely composition. I like the early morning moody feel of someone waiting for their loved one about to arrive at a remote train station.

For me I would have like to have seen the snow unspoilt by footprints. But nonetheless a beautiful shot.

I hope their loved one showed up! Thanks for sharing.

very nice,

great color for rose and good composition,

so romantic

Very cool shot, I love the tight framing, the singleminded subject, the use of backdrop here - very effective and compelling. The colour is beautifully subtle and understated.

My only suggestion would've been to shorten the stem of the rose so that it didn't exit the frame like that - an "end" to the stem would feel so much more satisfying.

Bonsoir Simone

groet Mark

Hi Simone.......Great realisation....superb composition....no words neccessary....the image tell...the story....

Hello Simone,

Excellent photo with story.
Very well composed.
Great focus, sharpness, light, colors...
For me, both photos are beautiful.

Best regards,

Super foto en helemaal om het feit dat de foto op zoveel verschillende manieren te bewerken valt en er steeds een andere uitstraling en betekenis voor komt. Ieder ziet op een andere manier de foto tot zich komen
Goed gedaan

Hello Simone,

Quite interesting. The photo tells a story. Apparently a sad one. Thanks for this one.

dear Simone,
a romantic scene,
the pale pink rose handed silhouette lady, and snowy white rails are illusionary contrasted,
it looks quite like in one story of love,
(matching for St. Valentine's Day)
back blurred winter view is beautiful too,
thank you,

Hola Simone
Buena composicion con un excelente encuadre con la rosa como motivo central , buen color luz y nitidez , gran creatividad una imagen muy agradable que apetece contemplar con detenimiento , felicidades
Buen trabajo
un saludo

Hi. Excellent shot, creative composition that stimulates thought, what journey? where? why?. A picture that would make an excellent book cover. Thanks for sharing. Regards Phil.

This is exciting.............a marvellous piece of photography. What a thought you had i your mind, to create such a wonderful shot.....speaks volumes of the photographic chips in the brain.

Kudos for this innovative crop....and I can yur freind's foot trails behind.
Three Cheers!!

So mysterious. . .what is waiting for the person at the end of the train tracks? Very nice composition and great color for the effect. Well done.
