[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Two weeks ago I went to New Zealand - and wanted to stay for ever. It is so beautiful, I think I'd like to retire there one day. I started my trip in Queenstown, shown here. Situated on Lake Wakatipu, it is surrounded by mountains, offers lots of outdoors acitivities all year round and has a some good restaurants. My photo shows a southern aspect. The centre of town is to the west.

Il y a deux semaines, que j'étais en Nouvelle-Zélande. J'aurais aimé y resté pour toujours... Le pays est si beaux, qu'un jour je voudrais bien y prendre ma retraite. Je commençais mon voyage à Queenstown, montrée ici. Située au lac de Wakatipou, cette ville entourée de montagnes offre beaucoup d'activités en dehors pendant toute l'année. En plus, il y a de bons restaurants (surtout un resto français, "Les Alpes", dont les propriétaires sont français). Cette photo-ci donne vers le sud, le centre de la ville se trouve à l'ouest.

La photo a été rendu un peu plus nette - c'est tout.

Beautifully done.
I love the very well done use of thirds, the clarity of the colors in the FG and the mistiness surrounding the mountains in the back. Lovely color, fabulous depth and the shot is well composed to draw the eye into it. That's beautiful. Really great use of that D90.. :))) Many thanks and kindest wishes,

I haven't seen you posting for a while.
Going to N.Z. is a pretty acceptable excuse! It's a place I'd love to visit! You've made it look particularly attractive.
A very well composed shot with attention to the rule of thirds and with the disappearing point of the water, between the overlapping mountains, in a strong position within the frame.

kia ora Cordelia - good to see you again. And you came to NZ - I haven't been to Queensland for 20+ years now...
What an awesome view this is. You make me want to go back and visit it again...
Excellent capture here of all the scenery. Love the colours too.
