Symmetrical

These two black faced impalas line up almost symmetrical with each other. Took this picture in the early morning near the drinking pond at the Etosha National Park. The warm morning light illuminated these beautiful animals.

Took this shot with the 70-300 mm zoom lens (focal length 270mm) and a fast shutter speed to prevent motion blur (camera shake). The Nikon D300 works fine with higher ISO speeds, in this case I set the ISO on 400 ASA using f/8.0 and 1/1600 sec.

PP work: not much, shot in Raw, converted to jpeg, adjusted slightly the levels and curves, small crop, resized and used USM for sharpening.

haha, symmetrical indeed. On first viewing, it looks like a two headed impala!

That light, looks like a photographers prayer Hans.
You weren't that far away when capturing these two beauties,I like their hide colours, are they not as jumpy & nervous when a photographer is in their senses as the ones in North America:)
TFS,appears as though your having a fantastic vacation.
Cheers
Ron

Amazing photo! Hans.
Beautiful lighting, colors and sharp detail.
I looked at them carfully trying to see how the behind of the front deer matched perfectly with the neck of the back deer. It's perfect.

WOW, a two-headed / 8-legged impala. Good find my friend...
Nice and sharply captured Hans with the warm early light brightening them up - good to see

What a simple, elegant, lovely, and perfectly timed shot, Hans! You've got excellent crispness and color; the image is well seen; and you got the results from your camera settings that you strove for. I like how you've kept the image free of distracting detail, and it looks as though you found a good position, with the sun behind you.

Really nice!
Jim

Hello Hans - I like this shot of the -mythical 'pushmepullyou'! Good telephoto perspective, colors, and sharpness.
