Nice example of a long night exposure Hans to capture several bolts of lightning... A weather event we don't see too much of here in Dubai!! And usually I'm in bed when the storms hit anyway!
Good sharpness. Pity there's not more in the foreground in the way of lights or buildings to add to the scene, but still a nice shot...

One of the most dramatic and impressive lightning shots I've seen on Treklens. You've caught the exposure very well with the lightning bolts clear and well defined. Nice silhouettes at ground level with the trees/bushes. Top shot!
And I share your frustrations at the air situation - had to cancel a trip to the UK :-(

This is something I've never attemtped Hans .. shooting lighting. Besides capturing several consecutive lighting bolts, you've also really captured the mood of a storm in the dark of night. I like the inclusion of the horizon. I love a good thunder storm :)
Hope your skies clear soon

The POV here is just awesome, a capture hard to take.
I'm still not sure about the right technique to capture lightnings, maybe you can give some details.
The f/16 revealed the lightnings perfectly.
Nicely composed with the horizon.
Congrats on you great capture and TFS.

This is quite a remarkable shot!
The long exposure has captured many lightning bolts, and with fine clarity against the purple sky.
I like the composition, with minimum attention to the ground, just a landing base for the lightning bolts!
I find it particularly interesting how the lightning is moving behind the tree. (Or is it in the tree?).

Leaving the shutter open had its reward - amazingly so. You captured an incredible display of forked lightning, a fascinating moment of nature.
No criticism really - maybe the frame, and I also suspect that the shot is cropped a little tightly, I actually think more space would do the shot artistic justice ... but that's just me. :)

Very spectacular shot Hans! Technically it's very well done and the silhouetted trees makes a good foreground. I really like the 'electric' colors all over it. Very impressive.

That is amazing Hans! To even capture it this close is a major fear-factor! And it's super sharp! I would not have wanted to hear the BOOOOOMM after that! Wonderful shot!

Merci pour vos visites.
Quelle chance de pouvoir réaliser une telle capture!!!
Grands détails de ces serpentins, comme des fleuves et ses affluents. Superbes arabesques.
Subtiles ombres chinoises des arbres. Mes compliments pour cette présentation.
