Trausnitz Castle

Back from a short duty trip to Bavaria where I had the change to do a photo trip in the wonderful cit of Landshut a town approximately 40 km from Munich.

In the afternoon of a hot day I walked to the Trausnitz Castle which is situated on a hill near the town centre.

Took this shot while a nice formatted fluffy cloud was just over one of the castle's towers.

No special PP work, just adjusting levels and curves a bit, small crop, resized and sharpened using USM.

Due the clear bright sunny weather I used f/16 and 1/100 with 200ASA

Bom dia Hans,
I see here a beautiful composition, full of light, shadows and colors. The bright green on the shores of the picture dictates the pace and volume of the scene.
This is a beautiful presentation nearly perfect.
Cheers,
R.

Hi Hans,
A fine architectural structure adorned with great management in lighting while maintaining an equal balance in exposure.
Very natural colors and good contrasts.
A very neat presentation.
My best regards,

Francis Xavier

Bonjour Hans,

Superbe POV sur ce joli château, les couleurs et contrastes sont excellents!!!
Amitiés

Hoi Hans,

This is a great photography and presentation of beautiful old architecture.
Very good chosen point of view.
Excellent clarity and sharpness and nice natural light and colors.

Warm greetings and best wishes,
Tatjana

Hi Hans,
Nice strong photo with good control over the harsh lighting. That puffy clouds is perfectly positioned and makes the photo stand out.

Looks like you needed to do a little more PP work. Some dust spots are visible in the sky.

One thing I don't understand from your note is that you used F/16 and 1/100 because of the clear blue sky. Why?

TFS,
Niek

Hi Hans,
so bad you were here and I realy had no time to meet you. Did you enjoy Bavaria - you had fantastic weather, now it's raining again, the sky is crying that you left ...
A beautiful shot of this castle. I have been to Landshut, it's about 180 km far from my home, several times, but only on business, there's a academy of my bank there ...
So I never had the chance to see many nice things there ... This castle is realy beautiful, thanks for the shot

wonderful sharpness, composition and colors, very nice , take care,

Hello Hans,
nice weather for a trip there. You have managed the harsh contrast well and the cloud is a real eye catcher above this somehow experimental architecture of the castle.
Kind regards,
Thomas
