What a wonderfull picture ! That's really great , James ! Congratulations ! Ernest .

well done, i like the lead in of the stone car and its shadow.
There is something special with light around the lighthouse, beautiful indeed.
The upper-right corner clouds look overdone and there is a vertical line there, maybe due to the HDR process.
Nice place, nice shot and nice mood.

This is breathtaking James. Fabulous lighting, skillfully metered, and well composed.

Hello James,
This is a very nice shot. The shafts of light create a good effect behind the lighthouse. The wall leading toward the lighthouse draws us into the image.
The points IMO that need attention are firstly the cloud lining on the top right which I assume is due to the layering. The vertical line as pointed out by Galder Jon. The glow at the bottom right of the lighthouse building is a tad distracting as is the green at the bottom right of the image. All of the distractions I found are easily fixed with a bit of PP so doesn't affect my overall opinion of the post, which is it's a great capture and very well seen.

Hi, Jimmy -
Great use of the stone wall, emerging from the lower left corner and leading the eye to the lighthouse and dramatic sky beyond. Very sharp throughout and perfectly exposed via HDR with warm colors. Very nice image.

Hi James,
A superb POV to capture this Howth Lighthouse.
It's central positioned but in such an artistic composition. Nice lead-in road to the white edifice.
Marvellous lighting and excellent HDR treatment.
Well done.

Hi James..this is one of the best shots I have seen in a long time...fantastic point of view and perspective...great tones...all around perfect...your HDR work here is great.

Hi James,
Picture postcard perfect ! Thanks- Julie

Hi James,
Except for the very strange looking clouds, the photo is good. The composition with the wall leading the eye is a very strong one. The slightly ofcentered placement of the lighthouse is good and well positioned into the composition.
I would have loved to see natural version without this HDR treatment to get more a feel of reality.

Niek

Hi james,
Amazing and wonderful composition of the light house with very well balanced framing, you beautifully used your ultra wide angle lens here, the only issue is over treatment of the sky and clouds reproduction in color tones other wise the composition is outstanding!!

Best Wishes
Mushtaq

Hi James,
An eye-catching shot with excellent DoF and good control of the HDR process. The blue colour in the cloud stops abruptly in a definite line which a little smudging would fix
cheers

Bonjour James,

Superbe profondeur avec cette route qui nous mène au Phare, la mer lisse joue avec ce ciel superbement éclairé et ses immense nuages qui donnent un certain relief à la photo!!!
Amitiés
Odile

I've looked at this photo a couple of times. I love the mood, the sunlight, the colours and some of the pp-work.

But my attention goes to the green pieces on the road, the wall and on the grass. Also the bleu line in the clouds.....
I can see the difference in the WS.

So try it again, because the result without those pieces is beautiful. And check your pp-work more often...:)

A nice perspective from where you show some great details, Jimmy!

The critiques are interesting and informative. In this shot, I like the way you placed the road premises in such a way as it leads the viewer's eye to the lighthouse. The colors are nice and attractive, which make the overall scenario a wonderful one. Great job!

Greetings,
Paras

NIce colors and light .
