This is very nice, Robert - the composition works well with the tanker heading into the frame and the rainbows are a delight. I'm not really a fan of heavy frames and text, but there are times that they work - and, in my view, this is one of them. Nice presentation here, my friend.

Hi Robert,
What a stunner. The rainbow makes this photo really special. It is wonderful to see that you were able to frame the boat in such a that the rainbow fits the composition perfectly. I also like the darker mood of the weather in the photo.

A stunning shot, you positioned the rainbow perfectly to flow from the ship. The dark mood of the shot is nicely offset by the sunlight highlighting the ship.

Bonjour Robert

Intéresante photo compte tenu qu'il est assez rare de voir un navire remontant le fleuve soit si bien illuminé sur son flanc tribord. Une belle image bien composée, toute la lunière étant orientée sur le bateau lui-même.

Hi Robert,
The natural colours that you have captured within this image really do justice to how your eye viewed them,one can feel the type of weather you were in.I really like how you captured the suns rays illuminating the ship.Perfect location of the ship,it allows us to view the two rainbows to their best advantage.May I ask why the f/4 aperture & not an f/8 or f/11 which may have given a little more sharpness to the ship,or did you feel that if the ship was too sharp,ie be able to read the name on its hull for example,the mood of the image would be altered to much?

All of this time, I thought the end of the rainbow was a pot of gold!! You have proven me wrong... it's the Medemborg!! This is great with the rainbow and the beautiful blue of the sky and emerald green of the water. The vessel itself is striking in red and white. Lisa

Excellent shot,
well the Idea of cropping from top and bottom to give a panoramic view is great. I think that was the perfect time to shot this one, the ship and rainbow is looking amazing.

Salut Robert,

Décidément je vais finir par croire que tu sèmes des arc-en-ciel à chaque bateau qui passe. Non, j'ai bien vu que c'est le même bateau, mais tu as eu la sagesse de faire plusieurs clichés avant que l'arc-en-ciel s'en aille. Très belle composition et très belle lumière. Bravo et TFS.
