[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I had one more photo left of that mosquito rich evening at one of my favorite trees. I recently returned to this tree to see of the wheat would have turned into the magnificent yellow color. It did turn yellow but I forgot all about the maize planted behind it. The maize had grown so high that it completely blocked to view to the tree. It is a good lesson learned and now I know when to visit this tree.

This is a panoramic like crop to exclude the clear sky above the tree and give better focus on the real subject. For this photo I used my new tripod head. The previous one I had could not cope well with the weight of the camera and lens and did not have fine adjustable axis. The new head is a geared head and allows me to make very small adjustments. Together with my hot shoe spirit level I can now set my camera fully horizontal. For this photo I also used my cable release and a 0.9ND hard grad filter.

Hi Niek:
Absolutely stunning...
I can imagine this like a poster prints:)
That is all I can say...and good notes!!!

Good Morning Niek,

This shot bears your stamp.
I love the clean lines of the composition.
The single tree is strongly positioned in the frame and stands out well against the soft, satin-like sky.

Have a lovely day,
Bev :-)

Hi Niek,

Very nice! My only complaint is that I would like to see the large version, prior to scaling for TL. A classic shot and informative note.

A very moody image Niek,I like the strength of the lone tree.I like the position of your horizon & its small size,The silhouette of the tree & the blackness of the foreground blend & balance well, with the larger lighter sky.
My only negative was the slight slope, from right to left of the foreground, which made my eye follow it ,taking me out of the scene, but the small post stopped me from leaving.
TFS

Very beautiful panoramic compo !

Hello Niek,

A very artistic panoramic landscape. The lonely tree is positioned well, the subtle colors from the setting sun look natural, and the long horizontal silhouette adds an important visual element. Regards

Danilo
