[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This cute squirrel is very attentive to the people infront of him!
-Thank you for the peanut you gave me, but I' still watching you-
He was very suspecious and it was when all of us moved from infront of him that he gasped the peanut and ran away.
I took several shots while this rodent was contemplating and I chose this shallowest focusing on the eye!

HI Francis, a very sweet and cute capture of this squirrel. But I wonder why you used flashlight. The eye doens´t look naturally. Actually not good for the eyes.Sorry, I hope you don´t mind my opinion.
Regards Rose

This is a great catch Francis Xavier. The focus on the eye is tack sharp and details are well seen in this fine composition.
Pleasing tight framing and thanks for sharing.
Kind regards,
Jusni

Nicou

Cute image. Good detail on the squirrel's face, especially the eye. Well timed.

Joy

Dear Francis,

I have to agree to what Rose said in its critique on this picture, however, I do understand the difficulties you got while catching this "ultrasonic" animal :-)

More than the eye, for me the rest of the picture is a bit too noisy and the squirrel itself is in full motion which make things even worse. I am sorry for my openness but I think it is better to tell the way one thinks.

Thanks for sharing.

Greetings,
Paras

Francis
So cute

Hi Francis.
A beautiful shot and very well focused on his eye and the shallow depth creates a life in your composition which seems as its moving for its hunt, lovely warm tones all around with contrast to cool colors of the greenery FG,well captured and a beauitful presentation.
Best Wishes

dear Francis Xavier,
its round green eye looks shining, it is lovely so much,
a moment of the squirrel's watching posture is captured very well, and all its expression is pretty and pretty,
and the brown fur is contrasted with green grass beautifully,
thank you for your excellent shot,
Akihisa

Hello Francis Xavier!
Wonderful squirrel. Amazing scene, scenery and background. Fine lightness and brightness. Good natural colours. Very good point of view and cut. Very good contrast.
Splendid effect.
Well done!

Hi Francis!
Nice image of this squirrel captured in your natural habitat. Good details of the subject and a movement blur for a delightful dynamism. Lovely light.
Well done Francis!
Ciao! Vanda

excellent focus on the eye and the environment is beautiful, great colors
for a picture taken with flash, it's really fine, not disturbing enough to say "needs improvements"
for the conditions of available light, it's too easy to say : "But I wonder why you used flashlight", or naive, or stupid
about the noise... where?
crazy critiques!

Bonjour François Xavier
Very good pov and expression of the squirrel. You took it at the best decisive moment. However and though the use of a flash and iso 800 as you explained it to Sela, I think it is yet too much dark. I tried to enlighten it a little more without losing -I hope- its qualities.Tell me if you agree with this ws
Best regards
Henri

I need to be honest with you Francis and in line with Rose and Paras's critiques which i agree with i have seen better shots of this cute animal elsewhere on the site , considering and understanding the facts that the lighting was not good that a squirrel rarely stays motionless for very long and that this was not going to be the easiest of exercises i still think that you have an interesting presentation here , i am sure though that you had fun doing it , right ! I do like the pointy ears a great deal and the eye is quite sharp ...keep shooting my friend,
Carol

Could not miss a day without seeing one of your amazing photos and I came across this one. what a beautiful shot. I love the twinkle in his eye and I can almost feel his fur. Warm colors, sharp detail...just wonderful. TFS, Lori
