One of the few

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Spitfire Mk XI at the Sunderland Airshow. The machine was fast and sounded beautiful, I took a few shots on slower shutter speed to try and get motion blur but a lot of them I had not panned fast enough so were quite blurred. This is one I took on a faster setting which has frozen the propeller but is nice and sharp.
PP Work - using shadow/highlight I brought out the shadows and decreased the highlight to give a bit of colour to the sky, cropped in to position the aircraft in shot and gave slight panoramic to the overall image, resized and sharpened.
Hope you like it

Hi Brian,
A nice capture of this spitfire aircraft. Good clarity and perfect details. I like the rotation effect of the sole propeller.
A nice action shot.
My regards,
Francis Xavier
I like the angle of this capture with plenty of room in front to fly into. Love those Spitfires. Good dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.
Hi, Brian. Good timing and angle capture of this spitfire aircraft. The clarity, sharpness and details are excellent. Cheers.
Hoi Brian,
I guess it is very busy in the air in England. There are so many of these old flying wonders left. ;-)
Good capture with matching background color.
The timing was very good, the plane is not flying all the time in this angel, I suppose.
Tfs
Joop!
