[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Having been cooped up inside for a couple of days we decided to make the most of the fine weather today and head off in to the New Forest with the cameras. We frequently come here, a little hidden pond and a small stand of oak trees over looking a valley beyond, ideal for our dog to run around looking for rabbits whilst we take photos.

Canon 7D
Sigma 10 - 20mm @ 20mm

F18, 2 seconds, ISO 100.
Aperture Priority - I wanted a long shutter speed and sharpness across the frame.
Lee 0.6 2 stop Hard Grad filter across the horizon to even up the sky and the reflection a little.
Tripod and remote release to keep every thing still and sharp during the long exposure.

Processed in Lightroom and Photoshop

Here is a pro image. Not to sure about the large fonts, but you have a masterpiece here. Outstanding use of what nature has provided. Great vision in your composition. Gallery quality for sure and very good artistic eye.

Perfect reflection capture and a very dramatic manage of the b/ to emphasizes the drama of the light and shadows. Excellent the simetric composition that in this case works perfectly.

A nice image, but I have to say i'm not sure about the bordering but I appreciate that is a personal thing. I know I am guilty of sometimes over bordering so maybe I should keep my mouth shut... lol...

However about the shot, I have to say some good work has gone into it. The 2 second exposure seems to have smoothed off the water nicely giving it a nice milky effect. The conversion to B&W gives the shot a nice mood to it. Having the trees off centre too is good.
