Iraq WMD turned out to be Weapons of Music Destruction is my contribution to this Fridays theme .. This work is demonstrated by Sundus, another Project Art Bridge Artist http://www.projectartbridge.org. Sundus Abdul Hadi is an Iraqi-Canadian painter and residing in Montreal. Her work deals with the current political crisis in her homeland, Iraq, drawing from images found in the media and history for dialogue. She is noted for painting politically loaded mammoth size canvases.
This was one of the works presented in San Francisco that I wanted to share with TL. I did present this work in a local TV program that I used to host and challenged the US to divert some of the war money to efforts that will help bridge the cultural gap and create better understanding of other cultures.

BTW My critiquing will be enabled tomorrow....

PP: Just re-sized for TL.

Hi Vic

I guess Iraqis need a sense of humor to get them through such a traumatic time, otherwise they'd go crazy. The trumpet come bazooka is an amusing touch & reminds me of the old Maxwell Smart shoe phone! The 'Bagdead' word pun is another element. Most folks agree that the best way to recover is to express feelings, & then we can move on. Tfs!

Hi Vic,

Funny and interesting artwork. I agree that WMD as weapons of music destruction would have been a tremendous alternative to the reality.

Nicely caught and presented in this almost panoramic framing.

Have a great weekend!

Beautiful collage Vic. Nice contribution to the theme. The colors in the picture bring out your tribute very well.

Hello Vic-

I thought WMD stood for "Where're My Drums"? Anyway a nice contribution to friday's theme. Would'nt it be nice if we all solve our problems, conflicts, etc. through music. We can express our agony, and at the same time solutions thru poetic expressions. Well done and TFS

Hello Vic
Very good entry to the theme showing the whats going on in Iraq through this image and Iraq's think about where is my dream of safe Iraq,an ironical and true connotation composition.
Have a Nice weekend!
