I have met this face in Castello Sforzesco and I liked his sad face and scar: a memory of hurting times. Christian Zucconi Selenmo is the author of the Travestino sculpture. I like Rocks.I love memory...and that Day I had the evidence that even stones "faces" have scars ...I still have doubts if they could be memory gardiens...
................................................

I'm certain, as we filled down the great staircase, that I appeared the same as ever, a moping twelve years-old, all arms and legs. But secretly I knew I had been transformed, moved by the revelation that human beings create art, that to be an artist was to see what others could not.”
― Patti Smith, Just Kids

Great sharpness and well play between light and shadow.
The B/W treatment to the picture worked well and gives it a long-lasting look.

Bom dia amiga Teresa,

O ser humano e uma de suas mil faces.
A eterna busca da nossa própria identidade!
Quem somos, o que somos, por que somos?

Bela foto, plena de significado e que nos leva às perguntas, e são elas que importam, não as respostas.

Parabéns e a admiração.
Do amigo,
Sergio

Hello Teresa.

I do so relate to your title and image, some scars deeper than others, some on show, some not.

Your images bring thought and emotion to the fore, we see the marks left by the sculpter, your grayscale lets us feel the inprints he makes. the face in shade gives depth and detail.

Very well seen Teresa and very well presented, you give us more food for thought.

Bonjour Teresat;
Joli portrait où le NB trouve une place de choix!!!
Belle sculpture, même si sa tête ne nous revient pas, les détails de la pierre se mettent bien en valeur!!!
Amitiés
Odile

Dear Teresa,
you capture the mood with great perfection. the angle of light you use just perfect to enhance the sadness. a proper POV was help.
with best wishes from Samiran

HI Teresat...very dramatic shot of this sculpture. The perspective and point of view that you used work well to show the drama of the scar on the face. Nice shot.

Hi Teresa,
An interesting portrait of this stone sculpture where a scar is clearly noticed. Good light management and contrasts. A nicely converted B&W presentation. I like the crop.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hello Teresat,a good choice to show in black and white, it accentuates the marks made by the sculptor. The bokeh is a good contrast in texture.
The coloured version is interesting as a comparison.
I like the light and shadow.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Hi Teresa,
A portrait of a broken man. This many meanings for me. a person deeply scarred, and broken in mind. So typical of so many of us.

Great capture indeed.

Bonjour Teresa
henri

Those words by Patti Smith are revealing , the scar in a way is like an opening to the inner head , to the inorganic mind of the statue which seems in a state of "thinking" , abstractly speaking indeed !
A simple photo that is but one that speaks for itself .
Pleasing nonetheless is the placement of the eyes split in half by the prominent crack in the center of your composition that suits well to the theme here and do i like the shallow depth of field in this Teresa , sort of help consolidating the idea of concentration ( the thinking ) and isolation of the statue in its surroundings , the subject matters a lot here , you have delivered a powerful image my friend and since i am attracted to stone art in every forms like a magnet to metal i truly enjoy your photo ,
tfs and thank you for visiting my gallery earlier , really nice of you ,
Um grande abraço,
Carol

Wow! So true! And the scars of this statue are showing instead of hidden. Awesome composition. Sharp details and nice framing. Very well done, tfs.

A real rugged sculpture which seems to show much character. Nicely captured in B&W. It shows the rugged texture. TFS

David

Bom Dia Amiga Teresa.

Your next the admirable composition and title.
You gave back the character of the face from this monument magnificently,
showing him in colours to black and white.
Perfect composition and splendid realization.

With best wishes.

Olá Teresa,
Large symmetry with very good detail. A wonderful and very interesting figure in the picture. Beautiful image with great perspective. Wonderfully seen and look out of class presentation.

Hi Teresat. Lovely stone textures and the sculpture looks very powerful in this black and white composition. Very well seen and presented with a dynamivc POV of this creative photo. Well done. Cheers.

Hoi Teresat,

You made a superb interpretation of that statue !
It indeed has a sad face, and indeed it has a scarfe, and indeed people with hard faces can have scarves on their sole.

Tfs
Joop!

Great sculpture, great photo and I love your notes. All the best,Otto.

Hi Teresa,
Very fitting in monochrome and interesting note. Scars can tell a lot on a person. Well seen.
