Dreams Of Flight

[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I have been off TL for a while now and hope to make a return to share some of my new images and contribute my experiences to this site. Today I wish to share a bird inflight shot. Flying Hornbills always intrigued me and capturing them in flight is very challenging. This is due to their rapid take off and sighting them can also pose a challenge in the thick tropical canopy. Here I was lucky to get this sharp shot after several failed attempts to lock focus and finally I managed to get this one. Persistence pays in nature photography and hope you like this. |

Dear Dilshan,
What a wonderful in-flight capture from a beautiful bird with a prominent beak!
I like the strong positioning of the bird within a frame, it seems as if it is proudly entering into its Riviera.
The sharpness and focus are well done, and contrast against the lush green BG is well kept too.
Another breakthrough in bird photography!
Thanks and regards,
Paras
