Those of you who have been on Treklens for a while will remember my pet lizard, Elvira that became so tame she would crawl in my hand and we would have a nice chat. She lived just outside the sunroom in the hedges. My last post of her was August 27, 2004. Ivan the Terrible crashed into our shores on Sept. 16, 2004 and I never saw Elvira again......

Now meet baby Lizzie. I like to think she is related to Elvira in some way. I found her on my alovera plant inside the sun room! So tiny, no larger than my little finger...tail and all...Just new to the world. She has been here for 5 days now and is no longer afraid of me and will let me put my hand down next to her. It is only a matter of a few more days I will gain her trust and she will accept me as her friend and come into my hand.
What a joy our little creatures are and oh so beautiful.....
1. Cropped
3. Adjusted midtones colors Y,M,G
4. Shot was made against the screen window so there was a lot of noise and used Neat Image, Home Edition.
5. Resized using 5 steps I think.
6. Adj. Exposure auto
7. Sharpened
8. Added small frame and stamped logo

Sincere thanks to all who critique my photos. I appreciate every visit to my little world here and your support.....:O)Kat

Hi Kathleen

Patience paid off, in what looks like a difficult shot. I like the V shape, of the lizard against the twig. Good work!

You are friend to all. Everyone loves a pal and you are one to everyone regardless of species. This little fellow looks like he is asking for your attention. A beautiful display of color and the joys of nature. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Great to have nature so near to hand Kat, Nicely composed picture shooting on the diagonal. Terrific work.

Hi kathleen,

Your friend Lizzie looks so good and so friendly! Tell her that I also love her! Very cute picture,Kathleen! Excellent composition! Great shot! Michel

You seem to be able to make friends so easily, even with one of God's smallest creatures. This is a great macro shot Kat, very well focused and sharp. The window screen makes a great backdrop because it has texture. I remember Elvira well, and the storm. Hope your new found friend will stay around some while. Would like to see more shots of Lizzie.

Hi Kathleen,
Nice macro, very sharp and clear. The diagonal shot worked very well. Good work.

Nice catch Kathleen! :))Beautiful compo, and a beautiful lizard. I like the DOF but was it a cage behind the lizzie that is seen like a moiré pattern ??

Great shot! She has such a sad look on her face, I hope your friendship will make her smile in the future...

Great macro, Kat - the simplicity makes it by allowing us to really focus on the subject. The tilt of the head and the somewhat sad expression are beautiful.

I like this photo, very nice. TFS!
