...and a break too in my b/w photos to " play" with the Friday Theme.
This landscape and architecture are from Obidos village.( I like roofs, in fact my begining in TL I have show a lots of roofs from Lisbon).
Anyway even with a" broken roof" I like the view and the littles white houses very usual in the centre and south of Portugal. My parents were born in the north of Portugal where houses were made with stones, big stones. ...and I use and loved to swimming in the green river because it was frame with great trees. Portugal is a very little country but it shows great diferences in architecture and landscapes. What matters is the heart of those differences. It is important to keep the heart of things too.
Camus one of the most important persons I have the pleasure" to talk" in my life said:
" Blessed are the hearts that can bend; they shall never be broken."

Greetings Teresa,
I like your note & the saying of your friend.
Your image matches this weeks theme well,I do hope that this home can be saved & brought back to its original beauty,as we would say over here across the pond "It has a Million dollar View"The Obidos village must look beautiful set on a hill with its coloured tiled roofs & the exterior of its houses & church painted white.I like your angle for shooting, which shows us the architecture of the village & the scenic landscape leading to a much larger city in the background.TFS
Best Wishes
Ron

Hi Teresa,
a great shot of this little village and the fields beyond. some what reminiscent of the villages in Tuscany that I saw a few years ago.

It is a pretty composition with an interesting sky.

Hi Teresat,
What an atmosphere you produced here. I like the softness and the lighting in this landscape shot. A fine entry to the theme with that broken roof! Perfect sharpness and the high POV renders a great dramatic sky to enhance this presentation.
Very neat work.

Francis Xavier

Hello Teresa,
A wonderful view of your countryside and town. Beautiful in every aspect...
Our hearts, all our hearts could learn much in your shared message, when I first read this I thought to patience and forgiveness, both seldom offered in today's world.

Hi Teresa,

Such a wonderous panoramic scene, remember as kids, we would say......'I can see forever'
Another unique addition to the theme this week, this really is a broken roof. I love the wispy clouds as they say they hurry across the sky.

Remarkable words about the heart.

stv ;o))

A marvelous entry to Friday's theme, Teresa!

Superb focus and perfect sharpness with amazing light and exposure management.
The colors are natural and details are praiseworthy, and landscape in the BG is breathtaking indeed.
Sky adds mood into the scene whereas the colorful broken roof tells its own story.

Thanks for contributing to the theme!

Um abracos,
Paras

hello Teresa

Teresa

Good pov to highlight the broken roof and the intense sky with a soft light.
An artistic way to tell Obidos village.
It is interesting to see that you do a break with the b & w, I do a break with the colors;-)
Beautiful entry to the Theme.

> Excelente profundidade de imagem e perspectiva.
Nitidez e clareza são de alta qualidade.
Muito bem feito, TFS.

Hi Teresat,

The distance between the hous and the horizon is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the broken roof. A good contribution to the Friday's theme. Have a nice day.

Pierre

Excellent control of color and light create a nostalgic atmosphere for this beautiful old building.Fine work, all the best,Otto.

Bom Dia Teresa,

That image fits into Friday theme. A broken roof on focus is depicting lack of maintenance or no an abandoned place. The weather is amazing and you've beautifully caught this moment into your lense. An awesome snapshot, well done my friend. Thanks for sharing.

Kind Regards,
Inaam

Bonjour Teresat,

Compliments. Um abracos

Hi Teresat,
Nice presentation of the friday theme with broken roof,
Magnifique point de vue et détails sous un ciel de toute beauté,
Très beau paysage et composition,
tous mes compliments ..Teresat..
bon WE..Michel

Hello Teresa,
What a beautiful image with such a lot of detail. The broken roof is very prominent and stands in contrast with the magnificence of the rest of the buildings. Well seen and very well presented.

Hi, Teresa. Beautiful capture of the scenery with lovely natural colors, excellent sharpness. Perfect exposure and light management. Good composition focusing on the beauty of the city. The perspective in this photo is just awesome. Cheers.

Beautiful landscape Teresa with an interesting note to go with it. You have captured excellent detail right through the image, from the old broken roof, to the town on the distant hills and the lovely sky. The church tower is perfectly placed to catch the eye. Great addition to the theme.

Joy

Hi Teresa,
Interesting image with the collapsing roof in the foreground and the complete housed in the surrounds.Good depth and details.

Hello Teresa,
a visit to your gallery never disappoints, this shot has a little poignancy that is most charming.
A photograph to savour and enjoy.

Bom dia Teresa,
Bom domingo.

Ola Dear Teresa :)

Very interesting and beautiful scenery, splendid view as much as for the horizon.
You showed all details in natural colours and gentle light perfectly.
Very showy composition and executed magnificently.

With best wishes.
Barbara.

Hello Teresat, a great view across the Portugese countryside, and such a lot to see in the fg.
The 'broken' roof, although a disaster for the owners, really adds to the shot, and all enhanced by a lovely sky.
Your notes make interesting reading, thank you.
Regards Jean.

Wonderful vista nicely captured from excellent pov. light is well handled also and shot well composed.
regards
David

Ola Teresa, oh i wished i had submitted a photo to this theme ( i was out of town vacationing ) but you did , a postcard view of one of my favorite portugese towns at that ! Love the view and the tiny white dots aligned on the horizon like icing on a cake!
The collapsed roof is a very unfortunate event for the owner , since you took this photo three years have passed , it would be un-imaginable or would it that the collapsed roof has not been re-built by now anyway i would live in a house like that i mean with the roof intact of course , hopefully no-one was harmed when it caved in then !
Well seen and yes Teresa you can photograph as many roofs as you wish , old Lisbon must have them in industrial quantity , hi hi , take good care ,
Um abraço,
Carol
