Dear All,

This is a shot of the ruins of Burg Landskron, once famous as Reichsburg Oppenheim, is a castle ruin located on a high slope in the city of Oppenheim.
It is estimated that this castle was constructed in the early 13th century.

It was cloudy on that day and luckily sun started playing hide-an-seek the time I arrived at this site. The POV looking upwards was indeed a challenging task to preserve the sky and getting relatively good details of the textures of the ruined walls. I feel that clouds add a dramatic mood into the location...

Hope you enjoy the mood in this shot.

Have a nice Sunday!

Cropped, black border framed and finally resized for TL.

Bom dia Paras,
One of yours best pictures, Perfect sharpness and composition irreproachable, from a low POV and challenging.
Fascinating result, included the frame.

Bom dia Paras
The ruins are very photogenic you have choose a good perpective. The sharpness is fine, the colors are well balanced and the atmosphere has a certain dramatisn that gives life to the composition.

Hi Paras.

Welcome back.
I like the stark lines and feel of this scene, the ruins appear to stand out so well. Detail is of a high standard, so is the appealing position and angle.

stv ;o))

Hi Paras,
I am sure this would work even better as a B&W photo. The light wasn't your best friend, but there is certainly enough latitude to play with for a B&W conversion. O, and one more thing, its feels a little bit tilted to the right but I think it has more to do with your low POV and the distortion of the lens. I do like the little peak through to the building in the distance.

Bonjour Paras
I love the architecture, and these old structures, are a pleasure to watch...you can feel its history.TFS
Good Sunday,Robert :-)

Hi Paras.

I found a wiki article on this castle but it was in Danish. Hit the translate button & was able to glean some of the long turbulent history. Seems as though the French were responsible for the worst of the ruining, back in the 19th century. I wrongly thought it may have been a victim of WW2. Interesting capture that piqued my interest to know more. Tfs!

Hi Paras,
A nice low POV to capture this ruins of such a beautiful castle. I like the bench on the left and the sort of natural frame of the two trees on either side. Nice contrast between the warmth of the ground and the cool sky.
Well done,

Francis Xavier

Hi Paras,
Interesting capture. Just looking at the ruins I thought this was more recent, like early 20th century.

I like the composition with trees providing natural framing.

I think the cloudy sky is very appropriate background for this ruin. I like your pov and it has good dof with nice details. Very well done, tfs.

An interesting ruin Paras; I was surprised to read that it was so old!
A good PoV with the sky visible through all the window spaces.
Good sharp focus on the textures, and the colours look very natural.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Ciao Paras, great POV on fascinating ruines, fine details, splendid sharpness and wonderful natural colors, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Good atmosphere in this shot with the cloudy sky and ruined building. This is enhanced by your heavy lack border. The angles of the building are intersting also.

Hi Paras!
This look sad... ones upon the time this place was full of splendor and became as tourist attraction showing just only ruins... anyway very nice shot with lot of details and proper mood for this kind of place.
All the best for you my friend!
