Dramatic ruins of ancient castle
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
This is another POV I have gone for capturing the architecture of the ruins of this ancient castle, known as Burg Landskron, once famous as Reichsburg Oppenheim. It is estimated that this castle was constructed in the early 13th century.
It was cloudy on that day and luckily sun started playing hide-an-seek the time I arrived at this site. The sky started to become clear but later on, the clouds overpowered the blue sky. I feel that clouds add a dramatic mood into the location. What do you think?
Hope you enjoy the mood in this shot.
Have a nice weekend!

Good composition with interesting tones and sharpness giving an interesting mood. The contrat between colors of sky and ruins are very good
Hi Paras, your image certainly captures the deteriation of this
buiding. The leafless trees bring out its deteriation even more. A good balance for your chosen composition. There appears to be a blue tinge on the trees branches, was the sky added to the image?not that, that makes any difference to the quality of this image,I'm just curious of why the tinge. I thought this image would also make for a candidate as a B&W,took the liberty to do a WS. TFS
Clever composition with the old building and the silhouette tree on the side.Texture and details of the building are well brought out, immaculate
details, great capture and TFS.
Indeed! The dark clouds and the bare tree made the scene more dramatic. Good pov and dof with nice details. Well done, tfs.

Another dramatic view of the impressive ruins, I think the bare tree acting as a silhouette against the gradient sky. Neat job.
Have a good weekend.
The sky does add atmosphere to the shot and so it adds to the ancient building. Nice work
