Here's a Purple Crocus, indicating Spring :)

Yes, just like in my country, India.. blooming of Lotus/ Shiuli indicates Autumn.. here, in the cold western countries they seem to say ~ Crocus popping out means, it's Spring :)

So.. finally, it's Spring!

I don't know the ID of this purple Crocus.. i tried, but so confusing. Also, they seem to be native to Europe, rather than US. I searched, but couldn't find a single post on Crocus from United States. That's strange! It's only Bob, i found, had mentioned about them in one of his posts..
Well, here in Massachusetts, Crocus is not that alien.. though basically a wild weed, people love to have them in their garden as well.

I found these two tiny, beautiful flowers along with one more (check WS) in the meadows near to a nursery school while returning from the Waseeka Wildlife Sanctuary, Hopkinton. It was Good Friday, and the school was closed. I stopped there to follow some ducks in the adjacent water-body, and found these flowers. They really 'popped up'.. indeed. From the grassland, wet due to melting ice.

The flowers were trembling due to hard wind. So getting a proper still was slightly difficult. But happy to meet a new species.. and that so special :)

Thanks for viewing. Happy to share :)

PS: Check WS for that third/ isolated Crocus.

NB: I posted this species in Trek Nature, but they removed it after a long time. You can post Crocus from Turkey, Poland, France, Switzerland, Greece, Spain, Romania, Austria, Slovakia, Israel. You can post this flower from Canada even. But you can not post Crocus from United States. Rules! :)

This is a perfectly beautiful picture of a Crocus and moderators of Treknature are totally unjust in removing this post from there, Ruby. Anyway, the less said the better on that count!
Thanks for leading to this picture. I really admire it.
