Campello Alto

He came from Reims and was in the retinue of Duke Guido of Spoleto: Lamberto, emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, granting him the right to build a fortress on a hill. Associated with it a feud with eight villages, called "Gualdi Rainier. Followers of Frederick II and the Church's enemies, they were apostrophized by Pope Honorius III, in 1226, as children of the devil, "Tancredi filius Belial. "
The mid-fourteenth century it was attacked by mercenaries of the standard-bearer Gubbio Spoleto Pianciani Peter: But the people of Spoleto Campello reimburse for damages.
In the sixteenth century, the feud was endowed with the statutes, drawn up by massari, the Count and the notary Spinea.
Currently, the village has a population of 57 inhabitants.
