[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My first attempt at astrophotography, a bit of trial and error. The Milky Way as seen from the North Island of NZ which has a lot of "dark sky" areas with limited light pollution. A 6min+40sec exposure ISO1600 F5.0 I used a remote shutter release cable to lock the shutter open as my camera has a max of 30secs I didn't realise the stars moved so much

A galaxy is a huge collection of gas, dust, and billions of stars and their solar systems. What a great image of our galaxy, the Milky Way.... well done as always MACK MCGRANE
