duplicated layer, selected the square for the frame and then inverted selection in order to form a frame, then with the paint bucket tool i clicked on the blue (making sure that the contigious mood is turned off) and that is it...the blue dissapears and the birds are left just as they are.

He-he ....I am not quite sure to what they remind me - Hitchkock's Birds or seagulls in Finding Nemo [mine-mine]...

All the same your shot fits great on the screen. I have a feeling that birds are actually part of my screen with your blue shot in the background. Nice 3-D ...

Me encanta. Me la guardo.
Lo dicho, sigue así...

excellent picture how painted very nicely you this went out regard

I like the birds outside the frame, well done.

Hola, Martha.

you didi here a great PP work...
and very impressive too....
I like it

what a wonderful PP work here!
really congratulations!!
bu the way, birds are outside of the frame is so intelligent idea!

Hello Martha,

Oops , they just broke out of the frame!! Seagulls are a wonderful subject. I got hundreds of them...and never get tired to get a 1000 more. This one is so well presented. nice work.

Excellent idea to explose them out of the frame :O)

Very good work.

The sense of danger is increased by the way the birds "break out" of the frame.

Immediately made me think of Hitchcock's "The Birds".

Very nicely done PP work, Martha. I like the feeling of being under attack from the birds which really comes out of this shot. There are just so many birds, one gets dizzy just looking at and trying to count them. Great blue sky and the birds coming out of the frame are great. Excellent!

uyyyyyy I like this one, the birds on the frame excellent choice, very well done and thanks for the info on the how to do it.
Great shot.

Wow! What a fantastic view. I like how the birds are flying right into and out of the white frame. Very creative post processing Martha. Love it. My only suggestion would be to remove the birds that are not quite in full view, also a couple of spots on the right side of the white frame. I did a workshop for you to explain what I mean. I hope you don't think I am too picky. Congratulations on this wonderful shot.

Great image Martha! And very intersting PP.

very well done!

take care, Stef :))

Hi Martha

Absolutely gorgeous! I like the inclusion of the frame, as part of the image. Superb repetition. Bravo!

spectacular..first of its kind
i love it

Hello Martha,
The result is very impressive ; I like this effect with gulls outside the middle pic, it gives a 2D or 3D dimension to your composition.
Well done :)

Wow, well done on the PP! Thanks for explaining, I'll definitely try it some time. Lively picture, beautiful blue. TFS!
Kind regards,

Bravo Martha!
C'est très bien fait, très attrayant!
Une belle réalisation.

Great idea to have the sky layer smaller that the layer with the birds.

It's funny, I have an identical picture with see gulls. Have you already seen it? I like the effect of mouvement and chaos. Your Composition, colors and your frame are trully amazing.
Great Job!

Hi Martha,
Your choice of PP work with the birds "escaping" the frame gives this picture an extra depth. I like it a lot.

Hi Martha, I love it! Sometimes it looks too contrived when we do things like this, but in this case it works so well that I can't help loving it! The colors are really great, all blues and whites create a real unity to the shot. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing [picture.... and good information how you did it! Seagulls are such theives!

Hello Martha,

Funny and original. Very well done.
