[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I am back from Nepal...a beautiful country with very friendly people. I was sick for the last two days but I have a very healthy and rich memories of such a wonderful country.

I used basic editing for this picture. Just a bit desaturation, level adjustment and very light neatimage. I can do a lot better than this post-processing and I will (which I will post later here in TL).

The Story:

This was taken in Patan Durbar Square. This mother was begging. I brought along with me some chocolate and ballpens which I gave to the kids. I took a LOT of pictures of them. As a matter of fact, I could spend the whole day just photographing the three of them. So much stories to tell from their beautiful eyes. So much colors. So much life.

I was sick (stomach problem) that day. I was sick for the last two days during my Nepal trip. But after spending sometime with the people there, I feel a lot better. I counted my blessings. For one, I have a good camera. And I am sharing this poignant yet beautiful capture of these people.

I am back home. My mind is still in Nepal.

(I am posting the Sepia version as a workshop - which I also posted in TE today. Which one is better?)

Hi Manuel,
IMHO I prefer this one, more real emotion in it... Strong emotion...

Hi Manuel.
A very strong photo.
You did it well, the faces tell everithing!
Good DOF, POV and colours.
The man with white clothes in the background distracts a little the attention, but in a case like this, you have to think in the photo details (in this case many).
Great work, TFS

Intense shot Manny - strong message about poverty and how fortunate most of us here on TL. Like your switch to photographing street scenes, it is very effective. Nicely done...

Claude
