i suggest to people interested to make a B&W version of this photo and post it
the purpose is to see how different persons will do the B&W conversion with the same photo
the colored version I used it here

I've tried my workflow for B&W conversion on your colour version posted here but the picture is so compressed that when converting your picture all I get is major jpeg compression artefact in the sky. It would I've worked better with full res uncompressed file. But as it is, I can't do much.

people who played already the game, and myself, have done the post processing on the little 800x600 version, top quality is not the purpose, just the idea, and there is already some interesting ideas even if not all in B&W
but indeed if you (or anybody else) are interested to make your own version with a bigger format, I could send you by email the largest version.
i'm happy to see that this site can be more interesting by challenging people to make different versions of one picture
