[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A rose from a bouquet of my wife's. I shot the photo using a day lamp from underneath and another slightly closer from over the top. I don't have a macro lense so I use the cheapie zoom filters to get in close : (.

For processing I first tone-mapped in Photomatix. I then rendered spot lighting in PSCS2 from over the top of the flower. I then adjusted the levels, shadows highlights, and finally toned down the saturation a bit. I got rid of some noise and here is the final product. Hope you like!

Olá Jeremy
Very nice colors and effect 3D.
I liked
Regards from Portugal

I like the lighting effect and the shallow DOF that was used here producing such a delicate and soft capture. TFS

hello Jeremy
very nice shot , excellent colors and details
great composition

Hi Jeremy,

Very nice colour tone. Somber but yet very pleasant. I read about your obstacles with this picture. You did the best you could probably but would be nice if the depth of focus was a little bit wider.

You have some nice shots in your collection.

Hi Jeremy , I think that your detail focus and field depth came out very nicely for the lenses you used for this image , the lighting is great as well very nice color , and an overall high image quality , thanks for sharing this

I really like the colors.Very good lighting! Good Job.

I LOVE antique roses! This is beautiful! I especially love the low light. Seems LOTS of pics today are shockingly too bright, with all the tones blown out! This is perfect, nice, soft, rich color!

Ciao Jeremy

Charmed and

very nice shot,
excellent colors and details.

hello Jeremy
Amazing mood. I really like the colours.

Very nice, and an unusual view of a rose. Good diffused light, nice mellow colour and the narrow depth of field with a sharp focus on the centre of the rose works well. Not much noise visible at all...
