Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend!

This is some Light Writing that Shelby did for me, as I set the camera up on my lap, around the campfire after the hurricane. Having no lights, TV, cell etc, made everyone have to find their own entertainment.
The dark line through the light is the camp set up of a bar, the Kettle and the Tea Pot, over the fire.

SO this is what we did, I just set the F-stop to all different sorts just to see what worked best. The I sat the camera on my lap while Shelby did her writing. I told her she had 30 seconds to do whatever she wanted. She is quite the Picasso!

We got about 7 good shots and I may post a few here and there. I thought about removing the dark bar, but then again, NOT..it wouldn't look right and I like the camp stuff there!

Have a great day!
Linda

Hi Linda,
I love campfires, the smell, smoke and entertainment. Excellent way to turn a campfire into a very interesting photo. I love the light writing it's different. Nice details in the fire and kettle. Very creative work.

Hi Linda,
This is an interesting experiment, and the effect is quite good, I think you were right to keep the bar across the fire with the kettle on as it adds to the shot and would look unnatural if removed.
Well done

A really good result from your experiment here Linda. It has a very Halloween effect so great for the season. Shelly is obviously very creative. I like the bar and the kettles. The only thing I am not sure of is the board close to the fire, I wonder if it would have a different feel if it was removed? More open?
Warmest Regards
Wanda

Hi Linda

I like the abtract neon pumpkin above the firelight, with eyes & a tail. Kind of appropriate for Halloween in November? I fly from Australia to Canada tomorrow morning. I'm definitely heading to Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, CA & Hawaii. I'm not sure if I'll make it to Tx. Cheers! Greetings from Taiwan!

HelloLinde,
Well planned and done experiment . Good creativity.
My compliments...

Very clever - both you and Shelby. 30 seconds of fun when there's no tv, no power, no PC, and no ironing to do...
I just want to crop off some of the excess space on the left. But apart from that, it looks good and is a good result from your experiments.

I love the contrast between the camp fire and the torch light, and the shapes in the light are very artistic. A great experiment well executed.
Thanks for sharing
