For the theme "halloween"

Taken this a.m. on my kitchen table.. This is Noah's mask from last year.

A tad on the "dark side" I must say! I was going to wait and post something like a nice happy pumpkin tomorrow but nope...

As always I have learned once again from TL.. After reading some of the other entries this week I learned not everyone likes or celebrates this day!

edit. Cropped out the table and a plastic tab on the chin... added a top black frame, sized and changed to bw...

enjoy Friday if you celebrate Halloween (oops halloween) or Not.. I am ready to enjoy this year passing out candy to the neighborhood kids and seeing all the wonderful costumes and happy faces...

Great POV used for maximum scare effect, here Tricia. I love Halloween because we can all let our imaginations soar. I think this one is much more imaginative and creative than your pumpkin thought. This is really well done for detail. I love how all the wrinkles and bumps are so clear in the black and white. Happy Boo day.!
Warm Regards
Wanda

Hi Tricia,

Dark is the way to go it seems to me - we don't even celebrate Halloween, but looking in the theme does get me in the spirit (brrrr..) of things.
This mask lying all shrunken on the tabel is even more scary then when Noah would be wearing it I think.

A scary mask. I'm sure Noah enjoyed wearing that last year.

I think the composition is good but I would have focused on the eyes and added some light in there maybe some kind of little red flash light or maybe something done in PP.
I think it would boost the mood and the scary effect of this photo.

Cheers,
Jens

****SSCCCRREEEAAMMMMM*** Gawd that is scary and I LIKE it a tad dark....very sinister! Nice DOF as we can see what this is....but what an angry face! I'm scared!! Nice work! Getting ready to PARTY???

Are you trying to scare us NON Halloween people down under Tricia. he he.. well done..as it is rather scary..looks good in black and white..Jens suggestion of some lights in its eyes would have been good...and even some blood dripping from its nose...HA...now that would be scary....eeeeeeeeeeeaaaarrrrrhhhh....im off!! :-))

Thanks for sharing and enjoy your Halloween
Dawn

Hello Tricia,

I like how it looks in B/W. It is a great mask,

This looks great - a squashed skeleton's face - looks like you have sat in it :)
No, I like the darkness and how the dark face fades into the BG.
I especially like the nose - what a big cavern!!
Cheers

Hmmm...I like the deflated, lifeless look for scary Halloween purposes, and the darkness adds to the mood. Give it some candy and see if it revives:) Good shot and theme subject!

Hello!
I don't celebrate halloween but this is a nice scary picture! I like the black I think it is what helps it become scary. Very Good Job.
Leslie

I think the darkness suits Tricia, good focus and nice work with the conversion whih has produced good tones and textures. TFS,
David
