A ray of light is enough for a life sometimes, I feel!
A superb moment from a best chosen POV and perfect DOF.
This is a really cool shot indded, DAvid.
Love the contrast and star-like-appearance of Sun at the horizon.
Great details and well caught light and exposure.
Have a nice weekend.

That's a great fish-eye capture of the horizon from such a height! Beautiful colors and such a lovely star shape of the sun.
I like this creative presentation.

Wow! Spectacular view ... one which most of us will never get to see. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Love the sparkle of the sun just diappearing, and the lovely color on the horizon, and the faintly visible clouds below (am I right?).
Great shot ... I might have cropped up a little higher from the bottom :)

At first sight it seems like computer generated image, just like Verbatim(r) has been using for their old floppy disks marketting. However, golden hue on the horrizon is looking interesting. Good use of fish eye lense. Thanks for sharing.

super shot, not many people get a chance for such a view, great use of the fisheye lens to emphasize the curvature of the Earth

The spqce effect is perfectly rendered with the fisheye. Oh I love this lens!
Amazed also that you did not get any part of the cockpit in the same time. Were you standing in an okward position for that?
The few times I have tried the same thing in a plane, as I was a simple passenger, I could not get the right pic without some frame of the window somewhere...
This picture is a pleasure to the eyes, thanks for that.

you must admit you have a priviligious POV for this kind of shot. I tried some from my passenger window but not with such a succes. Very nice shot that remind me a shot from the BBC documentaries. Good use of the fish-eye effect, good management of the exposure. Minimalist presentation creat a beautifull outerspace ambiance. Very good picture and TFS.

A pretty one from the flight deck. I have tried this from the back windows many a times without much success!

Your unique high altitude pilot's POV from the flight deck plus use of a very wide-angle lens has created a very striking composition.
Excellent photography without any PP.
