Dear TrekLen: Using Opacity with Frame Merge [Photoshop CS2]:
Some time back my work required some imaging for a company that sold Beauty & Spa Products. I had taken the products to the Oregon Coast to throw them randomly in the ocean and then shoot the images. At the end of the day, I just sat and smelled the ocean and took some images of the sunset.

In this work I have merged two such images together. If I did not tell you that, I would imagine that it would have been hard to detect the merge. The two images used are posted in the workshop.
1. Taking the first images that I wanted to use as the Base Image, I worked on it.
2. Using PS Color Correction Technique adjust the colors
3. Opened the second image that I wanted to use, placed it as a
Secondary Layer on top.
4. Simply using
Opacity Option in the Layer Pallet, playing on it by reducing opacity until they both merged with each other.
5. In the Tool,
selected the Erase tool and erased part of that layer that I did not want until both blended giving an illusion of one single image.
Flattened, resized & posted.

Tip: In this case the images must be captured under the same light conditions and similar type of composition & frame.
Thank you for your comments & visits.
David

Hi David,

Very good PP-work, and no, I wouldn't have known that they were two images combined if you hadn't told me. Well done with a stunning result! Lovely peaceful and calm atmosphere. TFS! Greetings from Bianca.

Sometimes in life thing can be simple, David ;o). But remember that not all PP programs support opacity/transparency in layers, nor blend modes...
Anyway, the result is terrific. Very moody. I adore sunsets, this golden image has a great mood.
TFS!

Hi David.
The mode, the COMP and POV is excellent, the framing goes so well together whit the photo that it makes it very good. The color in the sky, the sea makes a spec. mode whits I like very much, my greatest compliments and TFS

Beauitful beautiful work here, superb scene and amazing colour tones.

TFS kind regards Helen

Hello David.
Beautiful colours in the picture, but the framing is imo a bit too heavy. The opacity could have been lower.
Jan

PS. My new Sigma is great! Better aperture range than the older one, and even faster AF.

Hi David. Very pleasant golden glow effect you have created here. I prefer some of your other frames though. Good work. Murray.

Hi David, I always enjoy your in depth notes. A wonderful finished product with none of the galre apparent in one of the originals. Good detail and nicely framed. TFS,
David
